The figment of your imagination, or so you believed.

Chelle-Chelle.com was registered on October 23, 2008 and opened on November 7, 2008. The domain name is one of the many nicknames that I have and that get associated with my name. It’s not one of the more common nicknames that my friends use for me (that would be ‘Michelley’), but Chelle-Chelle is one of the ones that I’ve heard quite a bit over the last five years or so and I always wanted to own a domain with my name (or partial name) in it so here we are! It was also an early 19th birthday present to myself. Originally I purchased the name not really knowing what I wanted to do with it, but then I decided on a personal site (fitting since the site name is a nickname) and a writing portfolio, of sorts.

Past Layouts

November 7 2008 – November 30 2008

Stock vector is from the stock.xchng user alifarid. Simplistic white-black-light green layout with a diagonal background (I got a diagonal background to work, yeah!). I went with a simplistic approach because the website isn’t meant to be something complex but something simple and open.

November 30 2008 – December 29 2008

Stock vector is from stock.xchng user weirdvis. The font used was Giddyup Std, I like it. Another simplistic layout, but I did manage to get a background to work for the footer (yay) and the words ‘Actively avoiding snowballs, snowdrifts and skating rinks’ is across the image… Mostly because I’m occasionally accident prone and it’s probably best for my health if I avoid them.

December 29 2008 – February 1 2009

Created by myself in Photoshop CS3. The font used is Tandelle. Simplistic at its best, I used quotations from songs and books that I like. I used an image rotation script to create the effect that I wanted, there were seven images used in total and the header changes every time you change the page.

layout4

February 1 2009 – February 28 2009

Created in Photoshop CS3 with a photograph from the stock.xchng user mancity. The font used was Vrinda. The words on the layout (What else matters? Just you. Just me. Just this.) is derived from writing that I saw on the side of a building once while I was on the bus, which said “There is no justice. Just you. Just me. Just this.” (arranged in a similar format).

March 1 2009 – April 1 2009

Created in Photoshop CS3 with a photograph from the stock.xchng user phutureuk. The front used was Vrinda. The words on the layout (“I meant what I said and I said what I meant”) is a quote from Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss.

April 1 2009 –

Created in Photoshop CS3 with photographs taken by me. The font used was Giddyup Std and this is the first layout since I converted the site into a crafts and writing website/blog.
