The Kay Blue earrings were designed and created for a friend’s birthday gift. They feature light blue curved, foil lined glass beads, silver tone eyepins, silver tone chains and sterling silver earring hooks. They measure over 3″ in length.

“When the Stars Go Blue” is named after a song. The necklace is made with a upcycled wire-wrapped star with curled wire and glass translucent blue seed beads as its focal point. Silver plated spacers, blue rounded bicone glass beads, silver plated eyepins and chain were used for this piece. A decorative silver plated toggle clasp was used to finish off the piece. Total length is approximately 22″.

I have a coworker who’s going to be a dad soon. Whenever I’m working at the company and there’s someone new having a child, I seem to come up with something. Well, it’s only happened twice so far (while I’m employed, don’t really have time to come up with gifts when I’m in school and not finding out that people are going to have kids until like a month after it’s occurred). So here’s some photos of what I’ve come up with! (Picture heavy with 7 awesome shots of Mister Snuffles.)
And this is how it all begins…

I’m currently in the process of designing a baby hat for a coworker’s soon-to-be-born baby. I’m not sure how well it’s going to go, last time I made a baby hat it was way too big! But hopefully it’ll fit (or just be a little bit too big). I’m not sure how it’s going to look yet, I have a bunch of drawings done so far. I’m torn between a bear, a monkey and a frog for the design. I don’t really have appropriate colours for any of them, so I’d be buying new yarn regardless (also, I do have appropriate colours for one of them, but it’s not machine washable and I think it’d be a good idea to use washing machine-friendly yarn, especially for something for a baby!). So that’s the baby hat that I’m going to be making soon. I’ll probably go shopping for yarn colours on Saturday, maybe.
So tell me what you think:
Bear hat?
Monkey hat?
Frog hat?
Some weird combination of the three? (… I don’t think I’ll be making three, unless I’m feeling very inspired, lol)

You might recognize this little guy, if you happen to be a fan of Mario and assorted Mario games. He’s crocheted with 100% acrylic yarn and 100% polyester stuffing. Yarn brands used were Red Heart (black and white), Red Heart Soft (orange) and Bernat Satin (silver-grey). The larger one was made by my sister and has two white strands coming out of it’s top because her’s is actually a bag (the fuse box comes off and the bag can be opened), it’s stuffed with plastic bags in the photos. Mine’s a stuffie and considerably smaller. Also, mine is lacking a red pom-pom so it’s not about to blow up in your face.
